On Tuesday the 5^th September 2019 the club will hold its
annual AGM at the Stone Chair Club 7:00pm and as a member of the club you are
invited to attend.

At the AGM we will be reviewing our policy’s and if you wish to submit
any proposed changes to these they need to be sent to shelfjuniorsafc@gmail.com by Monday
the 2^nd September2019.

As you are aware the club is run by a group of volunteers and to
continue the stability and growth of the club we are looking to recruit and
appoint the following positions, these are also a voluntary role. These roles
need to be filled to ensure the club can continue to operate and maintain the
current high standard for its members. If we are unable to recruit and fill
these positions, then the current board will have to call an emergency meeting
to review who we operate as a club.

Vice Chairman:

· Stand in for the chairperson
if s/he is away

· Assist the chairperson
with matters between meetings

· Deal with specific
tasks or issues as defined by the governing body (for example, chairing
meetings or dealing with personnel matters).

· Assist the Chairperson
with,

· Ensuring club retains current F.A. award and
continues progression to higher standards.

· To develop
club strategies and ensure implementation.

· Ensure all
teams have necessary equipment, including kit, for training and match days,
working within budgets.

· Oversee
applications for grants etc. from various organisations.

· To attract
sponsors and promote them.

· Develop,
maintain and oversee the club’s Soccer Tots Programme.

· Attend presentation days / nights where
possible.

· To develop club strategies and
ensure implementation.

Attend at least one game (or part game) per
team throughout the season.

· To assist at social and fund-raising events
throughout the year.

Assistant Secretary:

The role of the assistant secretary is to assist
the club secretary in the following responsibilities

The responsibilities of the Assistant Secretary are
to:

· Help the chairperson to plan meetings

· Organise the logistics of meetings

· Take and distribute minutes

· Deal with committee correspondence.

· Attend League Meetings and relay all
information back to the club’s members.

· Keep the club updated on all league
affairs.

· Keep the FA Whole Game system up to date.

· Ensure the clubs affiliation is updated on
time.

· To assist at social and fund-raising events
throughout the year.

Social Manager:

The Social Manager shall be responsible for
organising social events for the Club throughout the year including out of
season activities where members are invited.

· Organise and promote social events for all Club members.

· Organise the Club’s Christmas event.

· Organise the Club’s end of season presentation evening.

· Assess the safety of proposed events and venues.

· Liaise with committee members on social events.

· Promote social events over Club’s social media and website.

· Be a positive role model for all members of the club.

· Organise and coordinate bookings and manage attendance at events.

· Attend Monthly Club committee meetings.

· Attend Annual General Meeting and any Emergency General meetings.

· To assist at social and fund-raising events
throughout the year.

· Organise the Shelf Gala Schools
Football Tournament.

PR & Communications Officer:

Responsibilities:

Planning,
developing and implementing PR strategies.
Communicating
with colleagues and key spokespeople.
Liaising
with, and answering enquiries from media, individuals and other
organisations, often via telephone and email.
Researching,
writing and distributing press releases to targeted media.
Collating
and analysing media coverage.
Preparing
and supervising the production of publicity brochures, handouts, direct
mail leaflets, promotional videos, photographs, films and multimedia
programmes.
Devising
and coordinating photo opportunities.
Organising
events including press conferences, exhibitions, open days.
Maintaining
and updating information on the organisation's website.
Managing
and updating information and engaging with users on social media sites
such as Twitter and Facebook.
Sourcing
and managing speaking and sponsorship opportunities.
Commissioning
market research;
Fostering
community relations through events such as open days and through
involvement in community initiatives;
Managing
the PR aspect of a potential crisis situation.

Fundraising
Manager:

Responsibilities

· Recruit, organise and
inspire volunteers.

· Research fundraising opportunities
and write grant applications to charitable trusts or statutory bodies.

· Build relationships
with major donors or companies and make presentations.

· Manage information and
record the profile and fundraising activity of donors on a database.

· Manage their own
budget and ensure that targets are met.

· Partnership are kept
informed of progress and milestones.

· Devise and organise
fundraising campaigns, events etc.

· Spot fundraising
opportunities and raise awareness of the organisation’s work.

· To assist at social and
fund-raising events throughout the year.

Assistant Welfare Officer:

Responsibilities

· Stand in for the
Welfare officer if s/he is away.

· Assist the Welfare Officer
with the following:

· Ensure all officials associated
with Shelf Juniors A.F.C. have a CRB
(Criminal Records Bureau) check to confirm their suitability to work with
children.

· All individuals undertaking the
Level 1 Football Coaching course complete a section on Child Protection within
the course.

· Ensure all managers /
assistants / coaches etc. attain minimum level coaching qualifications, child
protection cards and first aid certificates.

· Promote advanced courses for
the above.

· Keep the club’s database up to
date to ensure qualifications are still valid.

· Investigate all suspicions and
allegations of abuse and responded to swiftly and appropriately.

· Ensure club retains current
F.A. award and continues progression to higher standards.

· To develop club strategies and
ensure implementation.

· To attract sponsors and promote
them.

· To attend club/county and
league meetings when required.

· To help co-ordinate social and
fund-raising events throughout the year.

· To assist at social and
fund-raising events throughout the year.

Assistant Development Officer:

Assist the Development Officer
with the Following:

· Oversee
recruitment drives for managers and players.

· Ensure new managers are
correctly and efficiently inducted into the club.

· Ensure all managers /assistants
/ coaches etc. attain age appropriate coaching qualifications, child protection
cards and first aid certificates.

· Promote advanced courses for
the above, supporting and mentoring those coaches who wish to gain further
qualifications.

· Develop links with schools and
other partners.

· Along with the Clubs Social
Manager organise the Shelf Gala tournament.

· Ensure the transition into club
football from the Soccer Tots Programme is achieved efficiently and to the
benefit of all involved.

· Set coaching strategies and plans as the
club strive to become a Charter Standard Community Club.

· To be available to give
managers advice on operational issues as necessary, including transition from
mini-soccer to 9 and 11-a-side.

· To develop club strategies and
ensure implementation.

· Ensure club retains current
F.A. award and continues progression to higher standards.

· To attract sponsors and promote
them.

· To assist at social and
fund-raising events throughout the year.
